The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, took a tour
this Tuesday of the Mujeres del Mar Fish Processing Plant,
in the state of Anzoátegui, as part of the Weaving Networks project, promoted by
the Ministry of Popular Power for Fisheries and Aquaculture.
“It's not just the Weaving Networks project, but the cold chain
, the value added with commercialization,” said the president,
stressing that “only the Anzoátegui state has experienced an 86% growth in fishing this year
(...) And that is your effort, because at the
national level there is between 3 and 5% growth,” she explained.
He said that in the eastern entity there is an “economic explosion”.
“It's not just oil, it's gas, it's the refinery, it's also
livestock, planting, fishing. And here you are marking a
fundamental chapter in economic growth, because
we see those numbers of you at the end of the year in economic growth, it has an impact,” he stressed.
In this regard, Rodríguez highlighted the importance of this
impact on the lives of the Venezuelan people, “on the income of
workers, on the benefit for families, the impact it may have
on the country.”
