Second Teaching Center for Science inaugurated in La Guaira

The governor of La Guaira, José Terán, inaugurated, together with the Minister of Science and Technology, Yván Gil, the second Educational Center for Science, located in Catia la Mar, to promote the study of robotics, astronomy and mathematics in children and young people.
“This seed that we sowed years ago is already bearing real fruit. Today we have 104 Guaireños training at the University of Sciences, while we have increased the demand for scientific careers in the region by more than 20% through the OPSU,” said the regional president in statements collected by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN).
Terán also emphasized the importance of bringing scientific knowledge closer to popular sectors. “When we show our boys and girls that science isn't boring or burdensome, we open doors to the future. With the Scientific Seed program, our teachers and young talents go neighborhood by neighborhood, communalizing knowledge and demonstrating that there is plenty of talent in La Guaira,” he added.
Finally, it reaffirmed the institutional commitment to educational development and the optimization of community spaces for learning in the region.
