Sports Ministry announces nominations for flag bearers for South Americans in Santa Fe (+vote)

The national sport began the search for the representatives who will wear the tricolor in the upcoming Santa Fe 2026 South American Games, through a voting process on the social networks of the Ministry of Popular Power for Sports.

A total of eight athletes are the candidates to assume the honor of carrying the flag, to vote for your favorite you must log in to the Instagram account of the Ministry of Popular Power for Sports and vote on the “All for My Flag” profile for your candidates to receive the honor of carrying the flag at the next South American Games in Sana Fe, Argentina.

For boxing, there is Omailyn Alcalá from Caracas, who has a brilliant track record. He ranked 17th in his first Olympic participation in Paris 2024, and since then his record has only been rising, he was proclaimed in the Copa América in Ibagué, Colombia, and he dominated the category in the Bolivarian event of Ayacucho-Lima. ñ, he won the gold medal in his division in the Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games.
