Terrorist attack with explosive device in Cúcuta leaves seven people injured

A terrorist attack carried out with a high-powered explosive device shook the city of Cucuta in the Norte de Santander department of Colombia at noon this Tuesday.
The device was camouflaged inside an abandoned suitcase behind the headquarters of the Directorate of National Taxes and Customs (DIAN), in the immediate vicinity of the El Escobal neighborhood of Cúcuta.
Colombian police and health authorities confirmed that the shock wave directly affected seven people in the perimeter, including three officials of the Colombian National Police and four civilians who were passing through the customs area.
Relief forces rushed those affected to local hospitals. Therefore, medical teams evaluate the severity of the injuries presented.
