The Bolivarian Government, through the Great Transportation Mission Venezuela, completely rehabilitated the Caracas-La Guaira Highway after placing more than 99,000 tons of asphalt.

The works were carried out as part of the first 130 days of President Nicolás Maduro's new administration.

The works were mostly carried out at night to speed up their execution without interrupting free movement. The Boquerón 1 and 2 tunnels were repaired to cover a total of 38.4 kilometers.

In addition, beautification, signage and demarcation tasks were carried out.

The rehabilitation of the roads made it possible to reduce travel times by approximately 20 to 15 minutes.

On the other hand, in the state of La Guaira, the Todasana bridge was completed, in the Caruao parish, to benefit more than 600,000 inhabitants.

The work carried out included the replacement of sheets on the surface, the installation of cat's eyes and the protection of the stirrups.

In addition, in that same area, 40 kilometers of agricultural roads were also recovered, helping to strengthen the rural economy.
