From the state of Carabobo, Commander Hugo Chávez, on September 30, 2006, warned about the actions of the North American empire in the face of the triumph of the Bolivarian Revolution.

During the presidential electoral process that took place in 2006, the Bolivarian leader warned: “You know that we must be alert, listen carefully, because imperialism and its lackeys will not easily accept their defeat again.”

“Then they say over there, they repeat it in the United States, in newspapers in the United States, on television stations around the world, they repeat that Chávez is already losing, that now they are going to catch up with me, that it seems that they are five points away... In October they are tied; and in November, Chávez was left behind. For what? But they're going to repeat that, they're going to repeat that, all over the world... For what? To try to convince the world that it's true that Chávez is going to lose, '” he said.

He stressed that the plan of the right wing has always been the same, when they give the results of the “tremendous knockout” that we are going to give them again, they are preparing a destabilization plan, they are advised by the North American empire. That's why we have to be alert: The People are always on the street! The people on the street and the soldiers ready in the barracks. To face what we have to face.”

“The Venezuelan people today are astute, awake, alert, intelligent, because we decided to break the chains that imprisoned us, and we decided to build 21st century Socialism, the Socialist Homeland! So that we all live with dignity, in equality,” said Hugo Chávez.
