The Venezuelan opposition, in recent decades, has stood out for ignoring the Public Powers when they act in accordance with the laws and not of the interests of the right wing that has always wanted to take over the government by force. This was clarified by the Supreme Commander, Hugo Chávez, on February 15, 2012, when he recalled how the opposition, at different times in our recent political history, has ignored decisions of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) and has even burned laws to create a climate of destabilization in Venezuela.
“Now, mind you, that's why I keep insisting and every time these things happen the Venezuelan opposition continues to delegitimize its claim to govern this country again, because imagine what you did yesterday about this fact when it wasn't something from the other world either, what is the name of the measure, constitutional protection, a precautionary measure, now if the opposition leaders dare to challenge the Supreme Court of Justice in this case shamelessly and to say no, which is ridiculous and to mock, even, that they burned that already, one said over there: We are not going to send them the ashes. What would they be like if they were a government again? That's why gentlemen will never be a government in this country again, but never, it has no morals, there is no way to be a government in Venezuela lords of the bourgeoisie, gentlemen of the opposition,” said Chávez.
