On April 15, 2013, Nicolás Maduro was proclaimed Constitutional President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, after being elected by the people with 50.60% of the votes.

From that moment on, Nicolás Maduro became the first Chavista president.

During the ceremony chaired by the president of the then National Electoral Council (CNE), Tibisay Lucena, President Maduro committed himself to the Venezuelan people and to defend national sovereignty.

12 years after the proclamation, President Maduro continues to fight for the Venezuelan people, guaranteeing the greatest possible happiness.
