In the midst of an atmosphere of deep joy, bagpipes and family reunion, the President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, led an emotional tour of Paseo Los Próceres in Caracas, where she shared closely with the people of the capital in a space of peace, community union and social accompaniment.

“Venezuela has been shaken by painful moments but the first of November arrived and the whole country is turning on lights for Christmas, but most importantly the embrace that we are going to give each other an accompanying hug to heal wounds and meet friends and family,” he said.

Rodríguez also recalled that “just yesterday we were giving housing to people and families who lost loved ones during the double earthquake and there we hugged them as a family.”

The head of state activated the power button to illuminate the lights of the emblematic Cruz del Warairarepano, a traditional icon that formally marks the beginning of the Christmas festivities in the capital and throughout the national territory.

With this dazzling display of lights over the Caracas peak, the holiday season officially began in the country, consolidating a night of tradition, cultural demonstration and popular encounter that ratifies the institutional commitment to peace, the protection of affected families and the unity of the entire Venezuelan people.
