The group of far-right longliners who promoted a new fake news against the sectoral vice-president of Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, backed down after statements by the United States Department of State (USA) stating that it was a misunderstanding.

The media from the extreme right wing promoted a hoax against Cabello pointing to the alleged impediment of passage to American rescuers in the state of La Guaira.

Faced with this situation, the US State Department stated that the situation was “an unfortunate misunderstanding between a member of a US urban search and rescue team” and the Venezuelan authorities.

The US also reaffirmed that “both sides were clearly trying to save lives after the devastating earthquakes that hit Venezuela last week,” noting that the incident was resolved and rescue efforts continued without problems.

After these statements, longliners went out to spread the statements of the State Department and immediately retreated on the false news promoted by themselves about the Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, who has remained with the president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, caring for the people affected after the natural disaster that occurred registered last Wednesday in the national territory.
