President Delcy Rodríguez presented the Simón Bolívar National Journalism Award 2026

The President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, led the ceremony to award the Simon Bolivar National Journalism Award to the winners in the categories: Print Journalism, Opinion Journalism, Graphic Imaging, Radio, Television, Digital, Community and Alternative Journalism, Teaching and Research.

Clodovaldo Hernández, was declared the winner of the national award and pays tribute to a four-decade career in print and digital media.

During the ceremony held at the Miraflores Palace, a posthumous tribute was paid to prominent communication figures who died recently, including Nélida Arrechedera Mejía, Elvis Linares, Daniel Castellano and Walter Martínez, as well as to the communicators who died during the earthquake of last June 24, 2026.
