The Member States of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples' Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP), issued a statement this Tuesday, September 03, in which they denounce the seizure of the Venezuelan Dassault Falcon 900EX aircraft by the United States Department of Justice, which was used by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, and which was illegally transferred to Miami, Florida, this Monday, September 02, 2024.
In the letter, he argues that this “seizure adds to the long list of aggressions by U.S. administrations against the Venezuelan people and government, with the objective of exerting pressure to twist the democratic will of the Venezuelan people and create the conditions to force a change of government.”

ALBA-TCP DENOUNCES SEIZURE OF VENEZUELAN AIRCRAFT IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
The Member States of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) denounce the seizure of the Venezuelan aircraft Dassault Falcon 900EX by the United States Department of Justice, which was used by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, and which was illegally transferred to Miami, Florida, this Monday, September 2, 2024.
This seizure adds to the long list of aggressions by U.S. administrations against the Venezuelan people and government, with the objective of exerting pressure to twist the democratic will of the Venezuelan people and create the conditions to force a change of government.
The member countries of ALBA-TCP strongly condemn any imposition that seeks to strip sister countries of Latin America and the Caribbean of their assets and repudiate, once again, this act of piracy to the detriment of the Venezuelan State, in total contravention of international law, as happened in the past with the aircraft owned by the Aerocargo del Sur Transportation Company (Emtrasur), a subsidiary of the Venezuelan airline Conviasa.
The ALBA-TCP regrets that the hijacking of the presidential aircraft by the United States occurred in the sister Dominican Republic, violating the sovereignty of that country and the principle of non-interference.
The Bolivarian Alliance once again joins the demand of the people and the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela that the decision of the majority of Venezuelans expressed in the presidential elections of July 28 be respected and supports the legal, diplomatic and political actions it takes to defend their sovereignty and self-determination.
