The Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, in his Con El Mazo Dando program, asserted that the opposition member Williams Dávila generated a large sum of money for the state in a private clinic where he was held from the first day of his arrest.

“Williams Dávila, I'm going to count what we paid for your physical recovery in the clinic where we had you hospitalized, a clinic so you keep talking straw, you're already “cured”, but when you were in detention we had you staying in a clinic, I'm going to take the account of how much we paid in the Venezuelan state and now you come out to say that we had you imprisoned, tortured. Tortured because they gave you breakfast without salt? , you're a phony,” he said.
