89 percent of French citizens do not support Emmanuel Macron's possible participation in national politics after the end of his second term in 2027, according to an opinion poll conducted by Odoxa for the daily Le Figaro.

The poll, conducted on November 5 and 6 with a sample of 1,000 adults, reveals that the president does not have the support of the majority, not even among his former voters. 77% of those who voted for him in 2017 or 2022 disapprove of his administration, the TASS news agency reported.

Among the most controversial aspects are the impact of their decisions on family income (88%), the pension system (86%), migration policy (85%) and employment (73%). In addition, 86 percent believe that they will not leave a lasting political legacy.

Although Macron has expressed interest in running again in 2032, the survey indicates that the population wants to put an end to this cycle. As for potential successors, Gabriel Attal is the most cited, although only 39 percent trust his leadership.
