- 40 years after his disappearance, on January 19, 2013, the remains of Noel Rodríguez were located. The young economics student at the UCV and Red Flag leader was hidden by State security forces in a niche in the General Cemetery of the South, where he remained under false identification.
- Thanks to the tireless search of his mother, Zenaida Mata de Rodríguez, and the speed established by President Hugo Chávez, Noel's bone was found and he was able to receive a posthumous tribute from his mother, friends and family.

- Since the arrival of Commander Hugo Chávez to the government, a series of relevant actions have been taken to rescue and vindicate the victims of State terrorism practiced by the governments of the Fourth Republic (1958-1998).

- During the first administration of Rafael Caldera, on June 29, 1973, a commission from the Directorate of Military Intelligence (DIM), which followed him, kidnapped Noel Rodríguez, 27 years old.
