Banco del Tesoro grants loans to those affected by earthquakes

The Treasury Bank granted new loans under the Venezuela Renace Plan to families who lost their homes during the double earthquake of last June 24, with the purpose of facilitating their social reintegration and the beginning of a new productive phase.

Among the beneficiaries is Eva Marina Marín Cardona, survivor of Catia La Mar, who left her residence after the collapse of its walls. The affected party managed the collections before the Autonomous Service of Registries and Notaries (SAREN) and the bank to acquire a new property in the Montalbán area.

The president of the institution, Jimmy Berríos, said that the bank “has taken on this task with great enthusiasm”, in compliance with the instructions of the President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez. “The president took responsibility to the country for delivering about four thousand homes between now and the close of this year, and she is working hard on that. We can't do less from the bench,” he said.

The program also benefited six families that remained in the José Gervasio Artigas Transitional Camp, in Catia. The successful bidders, including Lenny Villanueva, María Fernanda Romero and Dayerlin Alvarado, received documents that accredit them as owners of new properties located in the El Mirador de Caiza urban development, in the Valles del Tuy, Miranda State.
