President Rodríguez highlighted progress in bilateral relations with the United States after historic meeting with President Trump

The President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted the advances in the agenda of strengthening international relations between Venezuela and the United States (USA) after the meeting she held with the president of the North American nation, Donald Trump, in New York City.

In a publication made through her social networks, the Venezuelan Head of State specified that during the meeting with her American counterpart they talked about the “advancement of an agenda of cooperation in strategic areas such as energy, mining, security and other issues of common interest.”

He also said that he took the opportunity to thank President Trump and his Government for their “support during the emergency caused by the earthquakes of last June 24, as well as for their support for the process of reintegrating our country into multilateral spaces.”

Rodríguez emphasized that this meeting is part of the new phase of historical relations between the two countries, which he stressed “we are called to channel through dialogue”.

“We will continue to promote diplomacy at the service of the national interest, aimed at achieving concrete results and collective benefits for the Venezuelan people,” he said.
