After the events of the earthquakes of June 24 and the generation of large amounts of debris, the National Government and the People's Power carry out joint actions that allow the transformation of these remains into useful material for construction processes, as stated by the Deputy Minister of Integral Waste Management, Mailing Perdomo, during an interview with Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).

Perdomo explained that, once the material has been moved from ground zero to the disposal centers, segregation is carried out, either manually or with specialized machinery, according to the origin or nature of the elements, to be later processed and reused.

He assured that technological plans are already being evaluated for the development of proposals that allow, based on the segregation of products, materials for reconstruction to be developed, a process in which the participation of Popular Power has played a major role.

Consequently, the main spokeswoman for the Self-Government Chamber of Playa Grande, engineer Coromoto Osorio, indicated that the Socialist Commune of Hugo Chávez, as a socially owned company, is working on the formation of work tables and the segregation of material to begin the recycling process to respond to the community through socio-productive innovation.

Finally, Osorio assured that the joint work with the Popular Power will ensure that the final disposal of the rubble and the subsequent transformation process result in products that can be implemented in Playa Grande and the adjacent communities; this consolidates a circular economy model where organized people actively participate after the preparation and training offered by the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism.
