Bolivarian Government began work to recover buildings in Ciudad Caribia

Brigades from the Caracas mayor's office began the reconstruction of 10 buildings in Ciudad Caribia, affected by the earthquakes of June 24, and which were temporarily evacuated, said the mayor, Carmen Meléndez.

The Presidential Commission on Habitability inspected 137 urban buildings. Among them, 127 are habitable and classified as green, while in Sector 1 three were affected and in Sector 2 seven were affected.

“In a working meeting with the Socialist City Caribia Commune, we learned that the 137 urban buildings have been inspected by the Presidential Commission on Habitability and, of these, a total of 127 are habitable and the other 10 were temporarily evacuated for the safety of their inhabitants,” said the mayor in statements collected by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN).

In addition, Meléndez explained that the mayor's office has more than 100 fronts of work under the Venezuela Renace Plan.

“We continue to work on rebuilding homes so that more families return to them and feel happy and calm,” concluded the local authority.
