Bolivarian Government collects 22 tons of solid waste and clears the Cata-Cuyagua highway

More than 130 workers are deployed carrying out intense days of weeding, cleaning, road clearance and solid waste collection in Ocumare de la Costa de Oro, Aragua state.

The work is carried out by the Urban Maintenance Department of the Ocumare de la Costa de Oro mayor's office in collaboration with Vías de Aragua and staff from Costas de Aragua.

In addition, weeding and clearing of the road to Cuyagua is being carried out, so the workforce was divided into strategic fronts: one group approaches the sectors from the Cata dome and another team advances from the Las Casitas de Cata sector along the main road, press reports Ocumare Mayor's Office.

In terms of sanitation, solid waste collection days have prioritized the community of Cuyagua, managing to collect a total of 22 tons in just one week of continuous deployment.

The mayor of the municipality, Wilmer Leal, recognized the support of the governor of the state of Aragua, Johana Sánchez for the execution of these actions.

“We are still on the street giving answers and direct attention to our people. Cuyagua is an area where the access of collection trucks becomes complex due to the geography of the road, but thanks to the united work and support of our governor, we were able to comply with the collection of waste and the adaptation of the road,” said Mayor Leal.

He also confirmed that the commitment is to offer safe and clean roads for our residents and for tourists.

These actions are part of the ongoing planning to keep the road arteries of the Aragüeño coast in optimal conditions for free traffic and tourism development in the area.
