Bolivarian Government modernizes the pumping and water distribution system in Zulia and Falcón

The Minister of Popular Power for Water Care, Carlos Mast, reported on the progress of the modernization of the water pumping and distribution system in the Paraguaná Peninsula in Falcón state and in the municipality of San Francisco, in the state of Zulia.
“I was in Falcón state evaluating the water strategies implemented in the Paraguaná Peninsula, to guarantee care for more than 345,700 inhabitants,” Mast said through his Telegram channel.
Among the works carried out, the replacement of 7.2 km of 36” submarine pipe in the Golfete de Coro and the intervention of 90 km of pipeline between Matícora and Tarana to recover a flow of 2,000 L/S stand out, he said.
He also added that these actions seek to increase the volume of water entering the suction tank at the Tarana pumping station, optimize the continuous supply at the Alí Primera E/B Pumping Station, in addition to ensuring anti-corrosion protection in the pipeline located on the seabed.
“We continue to work tirelessly for the welfare of the Falconian people,” he said.
In another message, Mast reported that “following the instructions of President Delcy Rodríguez, the Sectorial Vice Presidency of Public Works and Services carried out a technical deployment in the state of Zulia, to verify how the projects promoted to meet the basic needs of the population and guarantee their social welfare are progressing.”
Regarding water projects, he indicated that in the municipality of San Francisco “three vertical pumps of 200 L/S, two motors of 250 L/S, three vertical pumping groups of 250 HP located in the chlorination system of the Planta B water treatment plant” are being rehabilitated.
He also explained that in five deep wells “150 HP motors, a transformer bank and a control panel are installed, to serve more than 33,507 families, who live in four parishes and four communes.”
“While in the municipality of Santa Rita, the Urribarrí pumping station is being optimized, to serve 7,500 families in four communes,” he said.
For his part, the governor of the state of Zulia, Luis Caldera, on his account on the social network Instagram, stated that “working Wednesday in Zulia, 7:20 at night, San Francisco municipality”.
“Equipment of seven wells to recover 300 liters of water per second in three parishes, thanks to the National Government, with our PDTA. (e) @ delcyrodriguezv; together with the sector vice president of Public Works and Services, @j uan_lights; our ministers Nelson Rodríguez and Carlos Mast, and the tireless mayor Héctor Soto,” he added.
