Bolivarian Government paid tribute to the rescue dog Tsunami in Maracaibo

The tribute highlighted Tsunami's participation in search and rescue efforts after the earthquake that affected La Guaira and the central area of the country, where its intervention was decisive in saving lives. His service was also extended to international settings, which earned him recognition as an emblem of hope, courage and solidarity.

After the ceremony, the specimen toured the city aboard a unit of the Maracaibo Fire Department, accompanied by its guide, municipal authorities and firefighters. The journey culminated in the Ana María Campos Monumental Park, where hundreds of marabinos came to greet him and pay tribute to him.

The monument will remain in Vereda del Lago Park as a reminder that, even in adversity, hope and mutual help prevail. The recognition reaffirms the value of animal rescue and the importance of community solidarity, leaving in the collective memory the image of a hero who embodies empathy, strength and hope.
