Bolivarian Government will increase to 2.5 million plates distributed in the School Feeding Program

The Minister of Education, Héctor Rodríguez, announced this Wednesday the increase from 2 to 2 and a half million in the number of plates distributed through the School Feeding Program (PAE) throughout the country.

The information was provided during the inauguration of the José Guillermo Rivero National Educational Unit, located in the El Tostao sector of Barquisimeto, Lara state.

Rodríguez said that the program will increase portions of fruits, vegetables and proteins in order to continue improving students' diets. “We have to form a generation that eats healthy and eats well,” he said.

According to a press release, the new educational institution has six classrooms, a library, an integrated classroom, a science room and a kitchen.

During the activity, the minister thanked teachers and families from Larense for their efforts to guarantee the start of the 2026-2027 school year, which he described as “complex” due to the consequences of the double earthquake that occurred in Venezuela on June 24, at the end of the previous school year.
