This Monday, July 27, the
general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón,
reported that the media campaign that was unleashed against our country after the earthquakes was only seeking to harm the people.
“This last month has taught us a lot, it
has taught us a lot about humanity, about detachment, but it has also
taught us a lot about vileness, for those people who use human pain over
our country to download terrible communication campaigns, to do
harm,” Cabello lashed during the PSUV press conference.
He specified that these campaigns attempt to
position “things that have never happened or are happening, to add to the hurting
pain of the loss of a child, brother, husband, partner or family members.”
He stressed that, despite this vile campaign
against our people, in the midst of the tragedy, the truth has come out there
in every episode. “As we say: The truth is
revolutionary and it prevails, the facts are being imposed,” he said, reaffirming
that the Bolivarian Government, from the outset, has been working
tirelessly to care for affected families.
“Whoever says today, after a month and a half,
that it hasn't worked; after a month and a week, that it hasn't worked, is obviously
lying. And he has his own interests in saying those things,”
he said, referring to all the actions taken by the president in charge,
Delcy Rodríguez, to address the national emergency.
For this reason, he reaffirmed that
the PSUV militancy must feel that they have carried out all the tasks instructed to accompany the People.
“Let us truly feel like this party full of detached, detached men and women, who have fulfilled this task just as Commander Hugo Chávez would have dreamed it. On the street next to the town, with the pain of the people, there will be the pain of the leadership of our party,” he said.
