The sectoral vice-president for Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, assured this Wednesday that sectors that have promoted fake news or tried to gain a political advantage in the midst of the tragedy caused by the earthquakes recorded in Venezuela will not be able to apologize to this people.

“I know that none of them are going to ask for forgiveness, let's not expect them to ask for forgiveness. Besides, I don't believe that they ask for forgiveness when you do something on purpose, it doesn't make sense; you ask for forgiveness when you do something unintentionally, but when you deliberately prepare something, asking for forgiveness doesn't make sense,” he said during his Con El Mazo Dando program No. 575.

In that sense, he reiterated that he does not expect those sectors to ask for forgiveness, but he does hope that “nothing will happen to them as happened to the people of La Guaira, Caracas, Aragua, Miranda, Carabobo and Yaracuy, that they will never go through any of that, I don't want them”.

He assured the pain it feels to see families affected by the loss of a family member. “When you see the faces of children, of families, of parents looking for their children, of grandparents who were left alone with no one else, you really rethink their entire existence, but that doesn't matter to the miserable,” he said.

For this reason, he reaffirmed that those who acted to mount campaigns against Venezuela in the midst of the tragedy “acted under political leadership” and regardless of the pain of the victims.
