During his Con El Mazo Dando program, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, emphasized that in the face of the technical difficulties generated by the two earthquakes of last June 24, such as the fact of the power failure, in the state of La Guaira, social networks were not active and facilitated the initial deployment of the Bolivarian Government to help the people.
“Thanks to the fact that there were no networks, we were able to work in peace with the People of La Guaira, so we didn't know (the situation), whoever got to work, did it tirelessly, away from the lies that are there (in the networks), from manipulation,” he said.
In this context, during broadcast number 577, he recommended that “if you don't have to, don't stick to the networks. Sometimes they show me videos and I say that why do they pass those videos to me”.
“If you paste and send someone's video, you're giving importance to what that person says and the one you're monetizing continues to monetize, which is what they're ultimately interested in: silver (money),” he said.
“It's terrible, the impact, the effect of social networks on a citizen's daily life, imagine the daily life of a person or a country in the midst of two earthquakes. They have no shame for anything, any kind of scruples,” he said.
