This Wednesday, July 15, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, emphasized that because of the earthquakes of last June 24, the country achieved a national union of solidarity, but it is the first nation to suffer a tragedy of this nature and “has to fight against the consequences of that tragedy and fight against a terrible miserable media war,” he said.

“A denaturalized, sick media war, a terrible thing and I'm not talking to them about nonsense, no, I'm talking to them about very serious things, about fake news inventions, about lies, about spreading rumors just to cause more distress in the population,” he denounced.

He argued that in an event as serious as the double earthquake, in any nation in the world it generates internal shock, but also a national union, to which he stressed that “the country achieved a national union of solidarity and brotherhood”.

During his Con El Mazo Dando program, on broadcast number 575, he stated that this media harassment “we can review it in newspapers and on the Internet.”

In this regard, he advocated that “if only that extremist political sector would reflect and have the courage to grant that people of La Guaira, Caracas, Aragua, Miranda, Carabobo, Yaracuy, who directly suffered the impact of this natural disaster, respect their right to tranquility, to mourn”.
