The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, stated that the political organization “has always been active and supporting any dialogue initiative.”

During the press conference of the National Directorate of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Cabello pointed out that the party's militancy maintains a coherent position in the face of the opening and review processes that accompany the possible normalization of relations with other countries.

In this context, he indicated that the review of outstanding debts and commitments is part of the issues that must be addressed with transparency. “If someone owes Venezuela, all that must be put on the table. I assure you that's going to be the biggest problem, because one of the reasons they said not to pay Venezuela was that it didn't have accounts abroad. All of this wants to be put only on the table when it comes to reopening new relationships,” he said.

He denied that the opposition had donated alleged tons of food to those affected in La Guaira.

“They wrote it themselves: that they had brought 4,000 tons of food to La Guaira. Realize what it means to move that. Zero. I think they gave them the money to buy 4,000 tons and they also stole it, because that's who they are,” he said.

Cabello reiterated that, in the face of this scenario, the Bolivarian Government has maintained institutionality and political support, together with the PSUV. “There (La Guaira) who has been there is the National Government, and with the national Government has been the United Socialist Party of Venezuela,” he concluded.
