The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, emphasized that revolutionary forces must not fall into the provocations of the extremist political sector, “let's not allow ourselves to be provoked, we have a lot of experience in managing situations.”

“We also have the teachings of Bolívar and Chávez,” he highlighted in his Con El Mazo Dando program, broadcast number 587.

In this regard, Cabello mentioned the letter from the Liberator Simon Bolivar to Marshal Antonio José de Sucre, and referred to an excerpt from this historical correspondence from 1823.

In that letter, the Liberator utters a famous phrase about fear and the confrontation of adversities, which Cabello read: “The picture is horrible, but it doesn't scare me, because we are used to seeing more horrible ghosts up close, which have disappeared when we approach them.”

In that direction, he said that “where they scare we have been a long time ago, we have been on that path a long time ago, that they frighten others, because we know each other perfectly well. We have never had the spark of evil that they (extremists) have had and do”,

He stated that “in truth we are stupid in nature, they make us one, they make us another, they lie we sit down again, but we are not going to give up because that was the path we chose”.
