This Wednesday, October 28, the President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, commemorated 150 years since the transfer of the remains of the Liberator Simon Bolivar to the National Pantheon. “I greet the people of Caracas who have come to this new rehabilitation of the National Pantheon,” he said.

At the end of the official ceremony, the national president stated that “exactly 150 years ago the mortal remains of our Liberating Father arrived here, but we know that our story is not an immovable story of a sarcophagus, it is the living story of Simon Bolivar, who nourishes our daily history, that nourishes our actions and guides our steps”.

In that sense, she stated that “I feel very satisfied to be here today. This post-earthquake reconstruction of June 24, which affected the Pantheon, is not only our rehabilitation, the spirit that we build today between Venezuelans and Venezuelan women, which is the spirit of rebuilding ourselves spiritually, and as a society of peace, far from violence and hate.”

He emphasized that “we are a society that loves coexistence, that from our families we love our loved ones, our friends and we love each other like the big Venezuelan family that we are.”
