Caracas concentrated Carnival festivities on communal circuits

The mayor of Caracas, Admiral Carmen Meléndez, highlighted this Wednesday that the Carnival festivities in the Venezuelan capital were successfully concentrated on communal circuits.

From the PDVSA La Estancia cultural center, taking stock of the national holiday deployment, led by the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez, Meléndez pointed out that this strategy allowed organized communities to enjoy the festivities in their own localities.

“This year we did it differently. First because people asked for it. Since we are with the communes and empowering the people, well, the 299 communes there doing the carnivals, in the territory enjoying, the children, the grandmothers, everyone, the youth,” he said.

He stressed that “they were extraordinary carnivals with organized Popular Power.”
