Caracas mayor's office has removed more than 10,000 cubic meters of debris after the earthquakes

More than 10,000 cubic meters of debris have been removed from Caracas since the earthquakes of June 24, according to the official balance sheet provided by Mayor Carmen Meléndez, who specified that all the material was transported to authorized disposal centers, such as the one located at kilometer one of Mamera, Antímano parish, as part of the urban reconstruction and beautification plan implemented by the municipality.

Through his Instagram account, he stressed that the work is being maintained in order and safety, while stressing the support of communities and technical teams in each intervention, since the goal is to restore public spaces affected by the earthquake and restore normality to the intervened areas.

Meléndez insisted that the day does not stop and that coordination with neighbors and specialists is the key to consolidating progress, in a process that qualifies as permanent and that seeks to strengthen the comprehensive recovery of the capital, without neglecting established protocols for waste management.

He reaffirmed his commitment to citizens by ensuring that collective efforts make it possible to overcome difficulties and maintain the pace of work, since the priority is to ensure that each sector recovers its optimal conditions, while continuing with the transfer of construction remains to the points indicated by the district administration.
