On March 4, 1951, Cecilia Todd, a prominent singer of Venezuelan popular music, was born.

At 5 years of age, he began to play the four, an indispensable instrument in his style and artistic career, in addition to his exceptional voice.

His debut was in 1972, and he traveled to Canada, specifically to Ottawa and Montreal, being his first international tour. Then in 1973 he went to Barbados, Peru and Argentina where he lived for three years.

He recorded his first LP, Pajarillo Verde, in 1974, one of the 100 best albums of the 20th century, according to Argentinian media outlet El Clarín.

With Caracas, Andean, Eastern, Llanero and Western rhythms, the country captivated countries such as England, Spain, Finland, Nicaragua, Argentina, Cuba, Bolivia, Puerto Rico, Holland, France, Japan, China and the United States.

Todd is an example for future generations in Latin America and the world.
