The Venezuelan delegation added a new achievement to its medal table at the Santa Fe 2026 South American Games, after the duo composed of César Amaris and José Güipe won the silver medal in the rowing discipline.

The Venezuelan athletes scored an outstanding performance in the Double Lightweight (2XML) event, stopping the stopwatch at a time of 6:25.07 to cross the finish line in second place in the final.

The first place and the gold medal went to the locals Rodrigo Enriquez and Santino Menin, who recorded a time of 6:19.78. For its part, bronze went to the Uruguayan delegation, represented by Emanuel González and Mauricio López, with a mark of 6:26.21 (+6.43).
