The Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Félix Plasencia González, shared with the Venezuelan Armenian community, in the Apostolic Church of Saint Gregory the Illuminator; and later, with the Lebanese community in the Maronite church, Monastery of San Charbel; both located in Caracas, on the occasion of the day of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary.

“The Armenian and Lebanese communities have been living in Venezuela for decades. Their idiosyncrasy, cuisine and creed have enriched our culture for years,” said the foreign minister in a post on his social networks.

He affirmed that, on behalf of the Bolivarian Government, it will continue to strengthen ties with these communities that have historically integrated into the country and contributed to its growth.

In this regard, on August 10, Minister Plasencia González held a meeting with Monsignor Bedros Manouelian, Bishop of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Venezuela, aimed at strengthening the historic bonds of friendship and brotherhood that unite the Venezuelan and Armenian peoples.
