On December 17, 2010, from the Hotel Alba Caracas, the Supreme Leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chávez, recommended the book Politics of Liberation, written by Enrique Dussel, and said that politics is nothing more than deployment on the ground of power.

“He says, we have to govern by obeying, what he calls obediential power. Only in this way will true politics (original power of the people) make sense. From that point of view, the new National Assembly will be a wonderful space, and the new phase that the national Government and the national situation are already entering, must be a wonderful space for us to demonstrate, not only in speech, but in fact, that we govern,” said the Commander.

In this sense, the revolutionary leader urged “to unmask them, in the debate and in reality, they are going to be a function not of the potentia, they are going to be a function of the imperial power, in that role that they are going to be, the interests of the North American imperial power”.

“Then we have to deploy ourselves in strategic action and turn institutions into perfect mediators with the people, to solve the dramas, the human needs of the people, that's vital, the transition to socialism has to be humanly rewarding,” he said.
