Chávez Invicto called on Venezuelans to prepare for combat in the face of threats from the United States

The Eternal Commander Hugo Chávez called on the military and the entire Venezuelan people to raise the spirit of defense, combat, operational capacity and training of ground, water and air troops.
“We are obliged to prepare ourselves to defend the Homeland of Bolivar, the Homeland of our children. Even if it costs us our lives! But this homeland will never be a colony again, ever again,” said Chávez, on November 13, 2009, from Avenida Universidad in Caracas.
Chávez told the Yankee empire and its threat of war that, if they come to attack Venezuela, “you're not going to get a lonely Chávez, you're not going to get some solitary soldiers, here they're going to get us all together, the People of Bolivar and the Armed Forces of Bolívar, the entire nation in defense of freedom, peace, sovereignty, the future of Venezuela”.
He also emphasized that the future of the Fatherland is at stake. “I am not calling for any war, the one who is here encouraging the war is the Yankee empire; I am calling on all Venezuelans who love this country, to prepare to defend the holy land of Venezuela,” he said.
In that sense, he asked that no one be confused or fall for innocence, for weakling. “I don't care what the scoundrels say, the scoundrels and Patria sells them, I am obliged to do it. I am obliged to call on all Venezuelans to prepare for combat, to defend this Homeland,” he said.
