On June 14, 2009, from the state of Táchira, during the Hello President #333, Commander Hugo Chávez called for the unity of the Peoples of the Venezuelan Andes.
In this regard, he specified that the governors must assume the responsibility of keeping the territory free of Colombian paramilitaries, since attempts are being made in the country to set up paramilitary cells and groups that even seek to end the life of the national president.
“Prevention must be taken, prevention is better than sorry, everyone with their eyes open, popular intelligence (...) is not just about our colleagues and comrades in the Armed Forces.”
He also called on young people to fight for the future, “the present is a struggle for all of us. Young people, the future belongs to you, we will not allow them to be stolen, just as they stole our future, our future (...) All youth must be revolutionary by their very essence”.
