Chávez to the Peoples of the World: Whether the North American Empire ends depends on us

From Córdoba, Argentina, on July 21, 2006, Eternal Commander Hugo Chávez insisted that the threats of the North American empire to the world must end.

“The empire has to end and for the North American empire to end that depends and will depend on many things, on many circumstances, conditions, one of them on ourselves,” he said.

In that regard, he affirmed that it is essential that voices in Latin America, in the Caribbean, in Asia, in Africa, in Europe, rise up. “A powerful current has already risen up all over the world for the liberation of peoples that fights against imperialism, against that threat to the human species,” he said.

He also invited us to deepen our awareness, since “the moment we are living in Latin America and the Caribbean” is for deep awareness. “We are living in an extremely important, crucial moment in the history of our Peoples,” he said.

“As never before, in 100 years and more, today there are conditions of great strength, of great potential to achieve the changes that have been sought for so long. Every day the North American empire will face greater and greater difficulties in fulfilling its commitment to dominate this planet, they will not be able to dominate this planet, they will not be able to dominate our Peoples,” he added.
