Chávez Undefeated: Israel is a genocidal and very aggressive government

On September 24, 2009, the Leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chávez, condemned the Israeli government for its genocidal acts, supported by United States imperialism, against the Palestinian people.

“Israel is a genocidal government (...) A small country with atomic bombs and very aggressive, very aggressive ones that invaded and seized the Golan territories, must return them to Syria and that has massacred entire families. It's a militarist, warrior state par excellence,” he said during an interview with CNN in Spanish.

In that sense, he emphasized that one thing was the government of Israel and another was the People for whom he has great respect.

“I respect the people of Israel, I respect the Jews, many live in Venezuela and they are my friends, and I have gone with them to pray while respecting their beliefs as well as the Muslims. But one thing is the People of Israel, one thing is the Jewish People and another thing is those who rule there and kill people. They kill! They have no compassion for anyone,” he said.
