Chávez Undefeated: It is essential to build Bolivarian Socialism

From the Courtyard of Honor of the Ministry of Popular Power for Defense, the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chávez, reaffirmed that the construction of Socialism is an indispensable condition for achieving true independence of Venezuela.

Before officers and troops, he evoked the thinking of the Liberator Simon Bolivar as the doctrinal basis of the Venezuelan armed force and the ethical core of the revolutionary project.

“Today Venezuela is on that path, and that path is called the Socialist Revolution. To obtain independence, it is essential to build Bolivarian Socialism,” he said on July 3, 2009.

During his speech, he stressed that Venezuelan military doctrine must be profoundly Bolivarian, anti-imperialist and revolutionary.

He called on the soldiers and the people to consolidate their role as forgers of the socialist homeland.
