Chávez undefeated: Our battle is more than 500 years old on this earth

The Eternal Commander Hugo Chávez recalled that the Venezuelan people come from afar, from battle to battle, so he reflected that “this battle is long, our battle is more than 500 years old on this earth.”

“We are all Guaicaipura and their war cry against the Spanish empire 'Ana karina rote'; that's where we come from, from the aboriginal resistance, the Indian resistance, the black resistance, the exploited, the always dominated,” said Chávez, at the Bolívar Avenue in Caracas, on October 4, 2012 .

He explained that “we are the patriots of July 5th, April 19th, we are the soldiers of José Félix Ribas in La Victoria”.

“We belong to the troops of Ezequiel Zamora and his cry: Free Lands and Men! We are the children of the Maisanta cavalry charges and the last men on horseback, the day we have been fighting is long,” he added.
