On December 8, 2012, Commander Hugo Chávez reaffirmed to the revolutionary forces the importance of unity to continue resisting the attacks of the enemies of the Fatherland.
“If I have to insist on something in this new scenario, in this new battle, in this new trance, I would say a ranger over there, well it is strengthening national unity, the unity of all popular forces, the unity of all the revolutionary forces, the unity of all the Armed Forces (...) the country's enemies do not rest and will not rest on intrigue, on trying to divide and, above all, taking advantage of circumstances such as these, then. So what is our answer? Unity, unity and more unity. That must be our motto!” , expressed the Leader of the Revolution from the Miraflores Palace.
It also highlighted everything that it cost to build the new Homeland. “To get up with her through pain, between sorrows, let's remember how much it cost, how much it cost us millions, millions (...) Today, finally, after so much struggle, we have a homeland to which to continue making the sacrifice, from my heart as a patriot I reiterate my call to all the patriots of Venezuela and to all the patriots of Venezuela (...) the answer of all of us who feel the Homeland even in the guts, as Augusto Mijares would say, is unity, struggle, battle and victory ”, he emphasized.
