Chávez Undefeated: Venezuela must become an impregnable country!

During the broadcast of the program Aló Presidente number 335, Commander Hugo Chávez emphasized the need to transform military doctrine to guarantee the comprehensive defense of the nation.

“Venezuela we have to turn it into a country — let's call it what — impregnable. Shielded on all sides. Inside and out. And for this, it is necessary to give life and form to the doctrine of war of the whole people,” said Commander Hugo Chávez, on July 12, 2009.

He stressed that the militia cannot be seen as a marginal component, but as an essential part of the integral concept of defense. He pointed out that it must be assumed as the People in arms, with the participation of garrison commanders, armored divisions, governors and leaders of the Community Councils, who constitute the best source of intelligence through popular networks.

“If we don't do that we are scraped, we are scraped the leaders of the Community Councils, the Community Councils have to be there, there is no better source of intelligence than the People themselves, the popular networks, so the militia has to be that, the People in arms,” he added.
