Chávez undefeated: We must be prepared to defend every last millimeter of this land

On July 23, 2009, from Fort Tiuna, Commander Hugo Chávez expressed the need to strengthen all military regions, throughout the Venezuelan territorial area. “It's the concept of the People in arms, it's the war of the whole People and we the leaders of the people, all of us the military, are the military leaders of the people to organize, train, motivate, teach, hear, organize and, if necessary, lead them in the war to defend the country,” he said. He also reiterated his commitment to the defense of the homeland, “we don't want to, but we must be prepared to defend to the last millimeter of this holy land that is called Venezuela, the Fatherland of our parents, our Fatherland and the Fatherland of our children.”
