On January 25, 2004, Commander Hugo Chávez urged the people to be alert to the violent actions and declarations of the opposition.
“There are the acts of violence that they have been trying to carry out, there are statements, threats. All this is shaping up a picture, this counterrevolution already feels defeated once again and is slowly entering levels of desperation,” he said since January 23 in Caracas, during the Hello President #179.
In that sense, he explained that the right wing commits acts of violence when it is desperate, so he recommended “above all, to the leaders and those who follow them that (...) that they do not try to stray from constitutional paths again, because, if they do, we will be standing here waiting for them to give them the new lesson that we will give them”.
