The Venezuelan Claudia Rengifo in the 69-kilo division won the gold medal at the Santa Fe 2026 South American Games.

The Venezuelan weightlifter led the podium after registering marks of 110 kg at the start and 133 kg in the engine, for a total of 243 kilograms.

Colombia's Julieth Rodríguez finished in second position with 241 kg accumulated from 133 and 108 at the start. Meanwhile, the Ecuadorian Bella Paredes completed the podium after totaling 233 kg in the competition, 105 kg at the start and 128 kg in the engine.
