Commander Chávez: The People are ready in the barracks to face whatever they have to face

Commander Hugo Chávez, from the state of Carabobo, on September 30, 2006, warned about the destabilizing plans promoted by imperialism and its lackeys against democratic processes.

“You know that we must be alert, listen carefully because imperialism and its lackeys will not easily accept their defeat again. They are preparing a destabilization plan, they are advised by the North American empire,” he said.

In this regard, the Bolivarian leader urged “People always on the street! The people on the street and the soldiers ready in the barracks. To face what we have to face. But they're going to say that I stole their elections, and they're going to try to generate violence to try to justify anything, to try to justify anything, to seek violence and to try to provoke a United States intervention in Venezuela.”

“If our opponents here come out with any marramucia, they are going to come out marramuciated; if they come out with any marramucia trying again to fill Venezuela with violence, with terror; they are going to regret it, because we are not going to allow them to repeat what they did in 2002, or in 2003 with the guarimba. No, we are not going to allow it, and we must all be ready for the Bolivarian counterattack, on the street, and wherever it needs to be done,” he stressed.

He also stressed that the Venezuelan people “today are cunning, awake, alert, intelligent, because we have decided to break the chains that imprisoned us, and we have decided to build 21st century Socialism, The Socialist Homeland! So that we all live with dignity, in equality.”
