Commander Chávez to those who are trying to destabilize the country: They will not succeed!

In a speech delivered from the Miraflores Palace, on August 21, 2011, Commander Hugo Chávez denounced the plans of violence that opposition sectors, whom he identified as “pre-Majunches” and “squalids”, would be preparing with the objective of destabilizing to the country.

The Supreme Leader of the Bolivarian Revolution stated that these strategies are driven from “the Yankee empire”, with the purpose of generating chaos and justifying foreign intervention in Venezuela, following the models previously applied in Libya and Syria.

In this regard, he called for action and prayer to neutralize these initiatives. “With prayers and actions from now on, we must not only do what needs to be done within the framework of the Constitution to win the elections next year, but also to neutralize violent plans,” he said.

Finally, Chávez called for the unity of the Venezuelan people and expressed his confidence that the strategies of imperialism and its lackeys will not achieve their objectives. “They're cooking that again, they're not going to do it. From here we declare that they are not going to achieve it, and we place the peace of Venezuela in the hands of God and in the hands of all of us,” he concluded.
