On August 31, 2010, from Maracay, Aragua state, Commander Hugo Chávez assured that neither in war nor in politics nor in love can the adversary be underestimated.

“No, the adversary must be given his fair weight. We have an adversary, we, who is the most degenerate. We have one of the most rotten adversaries in the history of world politics,” he said.

In this regard, he reiterated that “the international right is afraid of him, not only respect, of course they have respect for us, but more than respect, fear,” he said, adding that, especially in the economic measure, “they see how the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) has been coming together.”

“It is the largest political party in this continent and in the political history of this continent; there is no party like the United Socialist Party of Venezuela. To the extent that imperialism and its intelligence organs and its fifth column infiltrated Venezuela for a hundred years, see the advance of the consciousness of the People, the advance of our youth, of our students, of our peasants; social organizations,” he said.
